He is survived by: his wife Mary S. Hardesty of Robertsdale, AL; his children, Melissa Currin (Russell) of Ft. Wayne, IN, Richard Beckard, Jr. (Lynn), Danny Hardesty, Jr. of Silverhill, AL and Brian Lee Hardesty of Tallahassee, FL; his brother James M. Hardesty (Christa) of Barboursville, WV; and his aunt Betty Newman of Milton, WV. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
