He was predeceased by: his parents, Wyatt Carl Lane, Sr. and Alverd Jones Lane; his former wife Linda Lee Lane; and his sister Barbara Lane Beals. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Lane of Roanoke; his son James Wyatt Lane (Ann) of Roanoke; his stepchildren, Susan Crozier Meier (Chris) of Marietta and John Crozier (Heather) of Opelika; his grandchildren, Cecil Lane (Caitlin), Lee Lane, Cody Lane and Caroline Doyle (Taylor); and his great grandchild Cooper Wyatt Lane.
The lying in state was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM. Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Quattlebaum Funeral Home (319 College St, Roanoke, AL 36274). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Antioch Christian Church Cemetery (8195 Co Rd 258, La Fayette, AL 36862).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Roanoke First Methodist Church (P O Box 40, Roanoke, AL 36274) or to Antioch Christian Church (8234 County Road 258, Roanoke, AL 36274).
