She was predeceased by: her parents, Lorenzo Buckalew and Kathleen Smith Buckalew; her husband Fred Hamby; and her siblings, Junior Buckalew, Bo Buckalew and Faye Meacham.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Treadwell (David) of Roanoke and James Hamby of Wadley; her grandchildren, Kody Waldrop (Morgan), Kendall Hamby, Hannah Hamby, Cagan Hamby, Kaleigh Treadwell, Elyssa Johnson (Trae) and Tyler Treadwell (Gina); her great grandchildren, Leah, Caroline, Brooks, Canaan, Asher, Sophie, Brody, Gage, Lainey, Jace and Emmie; her sisters, Nell Clayton of Valley, Barbara Holstun of Valley and Brenda Smith of Valley; and her brother-in-law Van Hamby (Pat) of Notasulga.
Memorials may be floral or donations may be made to an ovarian cancer organization.
