She was predeceased by: her parents, Dwight Hillis and Merle Stilwell Sheppard. She is survived by: her husband Mark B. Awbrey of Roanoke; her son Mark W. Awbrey (Christina) of Auburn; her grandchildren, William Awbrey and Abbie Kate Awbrey; her brother Edwin A. Sheppard (Geraldine) of Decatur, GA; her nephews, David Sheppard, Rick Sheppard and Patrick Awbrey; and her niece Patrice Hull.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to the Bethany House in Auburn or to the American Cancer Society.
