She was predeceased by: her parents, Green Clarence and Lizzie Johnson Harper; her granddaughter Elizabeth Nichole Swann; and her siblings, Mary Bailey, Florence Hand, Walter, Leonard, Robert, Andrew and Clinton Harper.
She is survived by: her children, Lavenia Swann (Will) of Wedowee, Billy Smith (Carol) of Montgomery and Kevin Smith (Diana) of Roanoke; her stepchildren, Sylvia Matthews (Bill) of Tallahassee, FL, Bill Vaughn of Athens, AL and Ken Vaughn (Donna) of Alex City; and her grandchildren, Leigh Smith, Kristi Wright, Taylor Gates, Allyson Smith, Brian Darda, Bobby Darda, Kayla Vaughn Estes, Nicole Vaughn Wilkerson and Kristen Gatlin. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be floral or the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Alzheimer's Association.
