It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Harold Pitts of Roanoke, Alabama, born in LaGrange, Georgia, who passed away on November 24, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ely Thomas Pitts and Adell Traylor Pitts; and his wife Carrie Jean Butler Pitts. He is survived by: his daughter Lynn Worthy (Jimmy, Sr.); his siblings, Trudy Webb (Jerry) and Jerry Pitts (Toni); his grandsons, Jimmy Worthy, Jr. (Deangelo McFarling) and Billy James Worthy (Kayla); and his great grandchildren, Serenity Rose Faith Worthy and Brynleigh Worthy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
