With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hazel Jeanette Pinkard Smith of Roanoke, Alabama, who passed away on February 10, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Pate and Lucy Baldwin Pinkard; her husband John Winfred Smith; and her siblings, Hoyt Sanford Pinkard and Latha Pinkard Etchison.

She is survived by: her daughters, Janet Lynn Smith Jones of Mebane, NC and Joy Elaine Smith Morgan of Roanoke. She is also survived by four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
