He was predeceased by: his siblings, Joseph Heard, Jr., Frank Blake Heard and Francis Heard Smith; and his children, Arneta Heard and Deiatra Heard Phillips.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Haynes (Tommy), Michael Kilpatrick of Roanoke, Darron Owensby of Atlanta and Kim Weaver of Douglasville, GA. He is also survived by grandchildren; ten (10) great-grandchildren and five (5) great-great-grandchildren.
