It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Brooks Plunkett of Roanoke, Alabama, who passed away on November 20, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lander Brooks and Rosa Brown Brooks of Roanoke, AL.; her husband Edgar Plunkett, Sr.; her brothers, Doug (Juanita Brooks), Joe (Judy Brooks) and Leroy Brooks; her nephew David Brooks; and her niece Jenny Stewart.
She is survived by: her children, Junior (Diann Plunkett), Kenneth (Melanie Plunkett), Alvie (Deborah Plunkett) and Lisa (Hank Zehr); and her sister-in-law Betty Brooks. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to New Canaan Baptist Church.
