She was predeceased by: her mother Ernestine Williams; her grandparents, Evelyn, Harvey Williams, Ava and Jackson Whitten; her uncles, Rodger Whitten and Raymond Whitten; her nephew James Barnes; and her son-in-law Mahalo Gregg.
She is survived by: her husband Marvin Benefield; her children, Dulecha Gregg, Melody Couscos (Demetri) and Tundra Benefield; her father James G. Williams (Faye); her siblings, Vickie East, Carl Williams (Annabelle), Timothy Williams (Lindsey) and Amy Brown (Justin); her uncle Johnny Whitten; and her aunt Gail Ashworth. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
