He was predeceased by: his parents, Street Sheppard and Lula Mae Edmondson Sheppard; and his siblings, Jo Ann Cantrell, Larry Sheppard, Mike Sheppard and Dudley Smith.
He is survived by: his wife LaVelle Gauntt Sheppard of Roanoke; his children, Nikki Queen (Terry), Charles "Chuck" Sheppard, II (Nicole) of Woodland and Eric Sheppard of Roanoke; his grandchildren, Isaac Sheppard, Hailey Sheppard, Liam Sheppard, Jaydon Meadows and Ethan Steel; his siblings, Sybil Flake (Jim) of Columbus, GA, Paul Sheppard (Kathy) of West Point, GA and Nathan Sheppard of Roanoke; and his niece Wanda Winkles.
Memorials may be floral or the family requests donations be made to Roanoke First Baptist Church in Mr. Sheppard's memory.
