She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Heard and Lois Prestridge Heard; her siblings, Bobby Jack Heard, Jathan Heard, Tommy Heard, Tenna Noles and Marilyn Bailey; and her great grandchild Karter Blair Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Larry Smith; her children, Teresa Smith (Tony Masdon) of Roanoke and Keith Smith (Pamela) of Woodland; her grandchildren, Kolby Smith (Makayla), Korey Smith Pijenburg (Trenton), Cassie Smith, Baylee Masdon, Braeson Masdon and Tyler Heard; and her great grandchildren, Kace Smith, Baylor Pijenburg and Alaya Masdon.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Benefied Funeral Home (17624 US-431, Wedowee, AL 36278). The lying in state was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the BIG Springs Baptist Church (14985 Co Rd 65, Roanoke, AL 36274). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the BIG Springs Baptist Church Cemetery (14985 Co Rd 65, Roanoke, AL 36274).
