He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. George, Sr. and Jane Alice Knott George; his stepfather Herman Wallace Burke; and his brother Patrick Leo George. He is survived by: his children, Allison George of Chickamauga, GA and Julian George of Chickamauga, GA; his grandson Ethan Cates; his brother John George of Johnson City, TN; and his stepsisters, April Harrod of Wedowee and Lisa Ferguson of Birmingham.
