With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Artemio Salas of Roanoke, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 21, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Artemio departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Artemio. Though Artemio may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arturo Salas and Simona Chapa; and his brother Albert Salas. He is survived by: his wife Judy Dowdell Salas of Roanoke; his children, Nora Pitts (Eddie) of Arkansas, Lora Weaver (Darren) of Southside, AL, Amanda Peterson (Jeff) of Tennessee, Sara Norred (Sidney) of Roanoke, Al Salas of Roanoke, Art Salas of Illinois and Anthony Salas (Jessica) of South Carolina; and his siblings, Anna Chapa of California and Arthur Salas of California. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
