He was predeceased by: his wife Ora Lee Nichols; his children, James Michael Nichols, Jeannie Fay Nichols and William Danny Nichols; his parents, William Elbert and Katie May Nichols; and his sister Larine Nichols.
He is survived by: his daughters, Phillis Bearden and Betty Nichols. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
