She was predeceased by: her husbands, Clanton "Dook" Salter and Kennon Burt; and her parents, James Aubrey Bell and Opal Dawson Bell. She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Salter (Monta) of Excel, Melinda Childs (Curtis) of Repton and Camille Christenberry of Cullman; and her grandchildren, Ron Salter, Allison Joseph, Natalie Gressner, Brian Bedsole, Blake Childs, Brooke Childs, Andrew Christenberry, Hanna Ashley and Macy Christenberry. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
