She was predeceased by: her husband Herman E. Kitchens; her grandson Matthew Jackson; and her parents, Riley Townsend and Mollie Berry Townsend. She is survived by: her children, Debbie Kitchens (Randy), Pam Skinner (Dewayne), Ray Jackson, Jr. and Randy Townsend (Karen); her grandchildren, Eddie Hove, Kevin Owens (Tiffany), Ashley Jackson, Jace Jackson, Brooke Herrin (Jody), Zane Skinner (Whitney), Brett Skinner (Jessica), Jessica Townsend, Brandon Townsend and Jonathan Townsend; and her brother Waymon Townsend (Evelyn). She is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
