She is survived by: her children, Peggy Smitherman Langford and Rickey Smitherman; her grandchildren, Amy Tyus, Matt Langford, Wendie Smitherman and Rocky Smitherman; her great grandchildren, Joshua Tyus, Jeremy Tyus, Hannah Tyus and Rebecca Langford; and her sister Inez Waldrop.
