We are sad to announce that on December 25, 2018, at the age of 81, Donald Ray Bates (Randolph, Alabama) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Loman Bates and Pauline Kerley; his son Carl Bates; and his sister Martha Jane Pitts. He is survived by: his spouse Marjory Merchant Bates; his children, Raymond Bates (Regina), Bruce Bates (Argelia) and Vera Williams (Tom); his grandchildren, Braydon Bates, John Williams, Thomas Williams, Alexandria Bates and Garrett Bates; his brother Ralph Bates (Dorothy); and his siblings-in-law, Virginia Miller, Ovid Merchant Jr. and Charles Lee Williams (Carol).
