She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Smitherman and Thelma Wallace Smitherman; her husband David L. Waldrop; her daughter Phyllis Renae Waldrop; and her siblings, Harold Riffe, Charles Smitherman, Gerald Smitherman, Kitty Sue Smith, Faye Nell Tillery and Hazel Smitherman.

She is survived by: her daughter Patsy A. Spiegner (Allen); and her grandchildren, Jeremy Spiegner (Rene), Jason Spiegner and Kimberly Shumate (Brandon). She is also survived by 7 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
