She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry Steve and Pearl Ayers Skinner; her siblings, Maxine Coggins and James Skinner; and her sons, Dennis Pollard and Dwayne Pollard.

She is survived by : her husband George Bruce Merritt. She is also survived by daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
