He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Charlie" Norman and Sallie Ann Jordan Norman; and his brothers, Robert "Bobby" Norman and Tommy Norman. He is survived by: his children, John Edward "Eddie" Norman, Jr. and Julie Bates (Larry); his grandchildren, Markie Geon, Savannah Greenlee (Mac), Tori Maklary (Kane), Mattie Bates and Carter Bates; his great grandchildren, Louise, Francis Greenlee, Liam, Isla Maklary, Tucker, Alex and Corabelle Geon; and his niece Donna McCarter.
