He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Edward Colvin and Laverne Lancaster Colvin; and his grandparents, John Andy Colvin, Emma Colvin, Bessie and Tom Lancaster.

He is survived by: his wife Pat Colvin; his son Ashley Colvin; his stepson Chase Waldrop (Lisa); his grandchildren, Piper and Bennett Anderson; his brothers, Gary Colvin (Kathy) and Keith Colvin (Nancy); his sisters-in-law, Deborah Hawkins, Tammy Morris (John) and Christy Mabry; and his pet Emmie Colvin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
