She was predeceased by: her parents, Louise Merchant Peterson and Oliver Samuel Peterson; her husband Eddie; her siblings, Nell, Thomas Peterson (Juanita) and Jack Peterson (Rhena); and her sister-in-law Janice Peterson.

She is survived by: her brother Ray Peterson; and her close friend Dottie. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Anita requested that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
