Shundrea Nicole Todd, lovingly known as Sunshine, entered this world on Nov. 23, 1998 through Ericka Jamelle Todd. She was raised under the guidance, love, and care of her family.
Sunshine celebrated life to its fullest. She lived without fear and regret. Her kind and loving spirit was a gift to all that knew her. Shundrea saw the good in everyone she encountered. She was family oriented. It was a blessing to know Sunshine. Although Shundrea faced many obstacles in her short, but meaningful life, her determination never let her give up. Because of perseverance and hard work, she was able to accomplish any task she put her mind to.
It is amazing what Shundrea achieved in spite of every challenge she encountered. Her life serves as an example of true love, kindness, forgiveness, and devotion. Sunshine's inner essence is something we should all strive to be.
Shundrea graduated from C. F. Vigor High School in 2017. She received a nursing assistant certification from Sadd’s HealthCare in 2021. While working as a CNA, she completed courses to become a tattoo artist. She was anticipated to start her apprenticeship in the beginning of 2024.
Shundrea departed this life on Wednesday Jan. 17, 2024. She was an affectionate and loyal daughter, mother, granddaughter, niece, cousin, sister, and friend. She is in preceded death by daughter Khole Khela Todd, grandmother Babara Ruth Todd, grandfather L. C. Young, great grand parents Robert and Pearlie Mae Todd, brother Lesstesso Carter Jr., aunt Tondanicka Todd and Lessipi Hazwood, and special friend Kelon Foster. She leaves to cherish her loving mother Ericka Jamelle Todd (Mobile, AL), devoted uncle Keenta Todd (Mobile, AL), devoted aunts Felicia Johnson and Jeannette Todd (both of Mobile, AL), grandparents Jessie and Kawanna Hazwood (Mobile, AL), sisters Zae Carter, Lariah Carter, Laila Carter, Alicia Carter, Kailani Carter, Emani Carter (all of Georgia), devoted friend Karen Foster, and host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Her influence and memories will last forever. Rest in heaven baby girl. We love and miss you.
