Mary Joyce DeRamus Stringer Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Joyce DeRamus Stringer (Prattville, Alabama), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 16, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. Charlie Hugh Stringer; her parents, John L. DeRamus and Mary Orelia DeRamus; her sister Yvonne DeRamus Smith; and her in-laws, Charlie M. and Olean Bowden Stringer.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Stringer McCoy (Wes) of Marietta, GA and Dr. Alethia Stringer Gaines (Ronald Gaines) of Mobile, AL; and her grandchildren, Ben Gaines (Sydney Middleton) of Dallas, TX and Sarah Gaines of Littleton, CO.. She is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethesda Baptist Church. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
