He was predeceased by: his brother Raymond McGowan; and his parents, Frank McGowan and Iris McGowan. He is survived by: his daughter Robin White of Columbia, SC; his brothers, Lytelle McGowan of Prattville and Dan McGowan of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; his nieces, Danielle Hanks of Prattville and Jenny McGowan of Prattville; and his nephew Erich McGowan of Prattville.

Larry was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and participated in charity rides.
