He is survived by: his children, Susan Smedley Evans (Kevin), Autaugaville Millie Smedley McHugh, Prattville Horace Douglas Smedley, Jr (Carol), Calera Julia Smedley McGalliard (Ed Boykin), Prattville Sharon Smedley Smith (Jason) and Prattville Ashley Smedley (Bo Matherly); and his siblings, William Eugene Smedley, Jr (Coon) and Ella Smedley Abel. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren 10 great grandchildren.
