He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth DeForrest and Ruby Royce McIntosh; his wife Synthia Louise McIntosh; and his sister Gloria Favor. He is survived by: his son Robert McIntosh; his daughter-in-law Connie McIntosh; his daughter Ginger M. Strickland; and his brother-in-law Norman Favor. He is also survived by two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
