She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey Phelps and Dorothy Phelps; her brother Eugene Phelps; and her husband Joseph Holt. She is survived by: her sisters, Gussie Lou Chavers and Ann Cannon; her children, Carlos Whitt Denson Jr. (Margaret) and Sheila Gail Conway (Gene); and her grandchildren, Becky Byrd, Leah Goodrich, Sarah Golden, Tara Newton, Paul Turney and Sissy Lucas. She is also survived by her 17 great-grandchildren.
