He was predeceased by: his father Pop; his wife Gloria Ann Tinker; his brothers, Edward (Joyce) and Jimmy Tinker; and his stepdaughters, Debbie Wright and Tammy Yates.

He is survived by: his daughters, Barbara Dunbar (Rick), Janet Ehrlich (Michael) and Marian Ramos; his stepson Eddie Gleaton; his grandchildren, Alissa, Jennifer, Jon, April, Johnnie, Elizabeth, Jessica, Clarissa, Melissa, Joey, Ashlee and Todd; his sisters, Nancy Reid (Randy) and Carolyn Dickey; and his sister-in-law Judy Tinker. He is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren.
