He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Carruba and Josie Carruba. He is survived by: his wife Annette Carruba; his children, Steven Carruba (Amanda), Shannon Early and Jeff Earley; his grandchildren, Lorie "Stromy" Boyd, Cassie Churchwell (Neil), Cedar Carruba and Evelyn Grae Carruba; and his great grandchildren, Chloe, Zander, Leland, Braden, Adalyn and McKenzie.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial to the Blessed Sacrament Church Preservation Fund (205-785-9840), or the American Heart Association, in Charlie's name.
