He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Clifford Gay and Lou Ella Fulford Gay; and his sister Joy Powell. He is survived by: his nieces, Kristie Averhart (Tim) and Karin Thomas; his great-niece Andrea Rouse (Jake); his great-nephews, Zac Averhart (Taylor), Jake Averhart (Cait), Joey Thomas, Jordan Thomas and Xavier Averhart; and also, Wesson Rouse, Campbell Averhart and Sylvie Averhart.
