He is survived by: his wife Diane Smitherman Smith; his son Scott Smith (Karen); his grandchildren, Brilee and Braxton Smith; his siblings, Johnny Smith (Leigh Ann), Barry Stephens (Lynn) and Jean Portera (Bob); his brothers-in-law, Smitty Smitherman (Anna) and Steve Smitherman (Sybil); his mother-in-law Bettye Smitherman; and also, Kyser Smith, Ross Smitherman, Tristan Smitherman, Ryan Bergeron, McCain Bergeron, Caden, Conner Stephens and Richard Ellis. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
