He is survived by: his wife Ruthie Hardy Carpenter of Pittsview, AL; his daughter Michelle Carpenter Obert (Randy) of Phenix City, AL; his brother Jack Carpenter of Phenix City, AL; and his grandchildren, Cara Obert, Carli Obert and Cailin Obert. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and many caring friends.
