He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Edward Pierce, Sr. and Essie Lavada Renfroe; and his brother Johnnie Pierce. He is survived by: his son Jerald Pierce, Jr. (Megan); his granddaughters, Lauren Grace Pierce and Jaleigh Hardin; and his siblings, Jeff Pierce, Joey Pierce, Jimmy Pierce, Jay Pierce, Janice Pierce and Judy Pierce. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
