She was predeceased by: her father Brenton "Goose" Shavers. She is survived by: her mother Joyce Shavers; her husband Leabron Thomas; and her aunts, Nancy and Linda.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Corner Stone Funeral Chapel (40 Cornerstone Dr, Ider, AL 35981). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Melissa Shavers Memorial Scholarship at Cadence Bank in her honor.
