She was predeceased by: her husband Billy Hicks; her parents, Birdie Venable and Otis Venable; and her siblings, Edith Hubbard, Ada Adams, Brenda Reel and Howard Venable.

She is survived by: her children, Billie Ann Caldwell (Steve), Jacky Hicks (Jimmie), Tommy Hicks (Leslie), Kathy Sharp (Johnny), James Hicks and Betty Hicks; and her brother Kermit Venable (Grace). She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren.
