He was predeceased by: his parents, James McCord Hicks and Birt Hicks (Martin); his siblings, Leonard Hicks, Lucille Gray (Hicks) and Cordelia Mitchell (Hicks); his niece Betty Jean Bell (Gray); and his nephew Lyndon Hicks.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Hicks; and his daughters, Teresa Cuthbertson (Hicks) of Ooltewah, TN and Amanda Brown (Hicks) of Scottsboro, AL. He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren 20 Great Grandchildren 5 Nieces 1 Nephew.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kerby Funeral Home (17554 AL-75, Henagar, AL 35978). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at the Pisgah Cemetery (118 Co Rd 374, Pisgah, AL 35765).
