He was predeceased by: his daughter Jordan Brooks; his parents, Ezra Brooks and Ida Mae Powell Brooks; and his siblings, Irene Brooks, Richard Brooks, Paul Brooks and Kenneth Brooks.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Higdon Brooks; his daughters, Christy Looney (Shawn) and Candi Mount (Doug Wright); his grandchildren, Kentrell Looney, MiCayla Looney, Krimsyn Looney and Ella Mount; his great grandchild Kamari Looney; and his siblings, Frances Pearson and Lester Brooks (Ruby). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
