It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnnie Ruth Self of Pinson, Alabama, who passed away on November 3, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Pack Lett and Lela Lett; her husband Barnett Self; her daughter Edna Ruth Dowling; and her siblings, Tommie Lou Wilson and Billy Joe Lett.
She is survived by: her son E. B.; her daughter-in-law Monica Self; her grandchildren, Allan Higginbotham (Leah), Janet Dowell, Allie Norred (Colby), Aymie Self and Sara Grace Self (Kassidy); her great grandchildren, Lauren Higginbotham Smith, Ethan Higginbotham (Catherine), Emma Higginbotham, Megan, Dustin Dowell, Millie Kate, Macie, Maggie Norred, Maliya Crenshaw, Jaxen, Jaycie and Myles Williams; and her great great grandchildren, Brooklynn Smith, Karleigh and McKenzie Robinson. She is also survived by Several nephews, cousins and other extended family.
