With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Emmett McConnell of Pine Hill, Alabama, born in Rayville, Louisiana, who passed away on January 25, 2021 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Emmett McConnell, Sr. and Linnie Averitt McConnell; his former wives, Ellen Staggs McConnell, Susan Gaston McConnell and Mary Ann Jones McConnell; and his siblings, Charles Eugene McConnell, George Raymond McConnell, Eleanor McConnell Blegeborn, Jimmie McConnell McWhorter and Joan McConnell.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta T. Jordan; his stepchildren, Danny Jordan (Diane) and Deborah J. Kirkland; his siblings, Chester McConnell (Dorothy) and Erin Henson; and also Mildred Peterson. He is also survived by two grandchildren and three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
