He is survived by: his parents, George Wesley "G. W." and Nealie Jane Avritt; his sons, Rex Alton Avritt, Kevin Leslie Avritt and Phillip Darrin Avritt; and his siblings, Abraham "Buddy" Avritt, Robert Eugene Avritt, Lizzie Jane Goodman, Alice Faye Champion, Violet Jobe, Ruby Vinson, Mary Ellen Gandy and Evelyn "Lucy" Reinhart. He is also survived by six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
