He was predeceased by: his parents, Leland Gray and Maurine Westbrook Barkley. He is survived by: his wife Virginia D. Barkley; his son James Leland "Lee" Barkley (Lakisha); his sisters, Carrie Crowley and Gayle Etheridge; and his grandchildren, Dillan Barkley (Marianna), Dezeray Bridges (Trevor), Bryan Stokley, Conner Stokley, Drueanna Flint and Daniel Flint. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
