He was predeceased by: his parents, John Garzarek and Mamie Garzarek; his wife Evelyn Louise Garzarek; his daughter Lee Watts; and his siblings, Margaret, Betty Jean, Raymond and Charles.
He is survived by: his children, Ronald Garzarek (Jerri Kimbrell) of Florida, Roy Garzarek (Belinda) of Newton, Brenda Cates of Helena and Freddy Garzarek (Jill) of Dothan. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren that called him "Daddy George"; several nieces and nephews.
