It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Edward Franks of Piedmont, Alabama, born in Rome, Georgia, who passed away on April 13, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William P. Franks and Lois Hamby Franks; his wife Ibe Gean Franks; his daughters, Wendy Ann and Brenda Michelle; and his sisters, Linda Johnson, Alene Tant (James) and Eloise Didrick (Joe).
He is survived by: his children, Scott Franks, Wanda Walker (Mike) and Denise Davis (Randall); and his brothers, Donnie Franks (Ann) and Leonard Franks (Pat). He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
