With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Susan Gloria McCain (Piedmont, Alabama), who passed away on January 7, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She is survived by: her husband Tony McCain; her children, Tina (James Storey), Tammy (Jeffrey Knotts) and Richard (Rebecca Headrick); her grandchildren, Madison Storey (Derrick Goswick), Anthony Howell, Riley Storey (Ashley Westmoreland), Alyssa Howell and Ethan McCain; her sisters, Annette Jones and Linda Morgan; her friend Cindy Acker; and her siblings, Marlin "Buddy" Wood (Gloria), Charlie Wood, Tommy Wood (Emily), Catherine Smith (Danny) and Sandy Goodwin (Lewayne).
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home & Crematory (6340 Old Piedmont Gadsden Hwy, Piedmont, AL 36272). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 5:30 PM at the same location.
To continue her legacy and since she already had the prettiest flowers around, the family is requesting donations in lieu of flowers to The Helping Hands Ministry at PO Box 743, Centre, AL 35960.
