It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melva Parker Sewell of Piedmont, Alabama, who passed away on September 1, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Michael R. Sewell; her parents, James Parker and Venice Parker; her siblings, Cagle Parker, Jimmy Parker and Audrey Faulkner; her siblings-in-law, Pearlene Parker and Bob Faulkner; and her nephews, Mark Parker and Darry Parker.
She is survived by: her daughter Monique Sewell (Chris Hill) of Piedmont; her grandson Michael Stapleton; her great grandchild Oliver Stapleton; her niece Tamara Faulkner Arevian (Sarkis); and her nephew Stewart Parker (Barbara).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to a local animal shelter.
