She was predeceased by: her husband Bill Motes; her daughter Carol Mayes; and her parents, Clarence Surrett and Annie Surrett. She is survived by: her children, Debra Murphy, Hank Motes of Piedmont and Charles Waylon Motes of Piedmont; her grandchildren, Jason Motes, Amy Motes, Molly Motes, Christal Murphy, Joanie Parker and Bubba Murphy; and her brother Tommy Surrett (Mary) of Piedmont. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
