He is survived by: his wife Myrtis Atkins; his children, Larry Atkins, Jr., Jeffrey Messer, Shane Messer (Tashia) and Kyle Atkins; his sister Alice Crayton; and his pet Abby. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
